Hyalite is form of Opal with a transparent glassy lustre. It is also sometimes called Muller’s Glass, Water Opal, and Jalite. The name Muller’s Glass is named after its discover Franz-Joseph Muller von Reichenstein. 


  

Hyalite can be identified under ultraviolet light due to its bright green fluorescence.
