Pterosaurs (meaning "winged lizard") though some times considered as flying Dinosaurs were actually more of a close cousin of the dinosaur, which evolved on they separate brunch of the reptile family tree. They were also after insect the first animals to evolve flight. They evolved into several different species, ranging in size as big as a fighter plane to as small as paper aeroplane.


These flying reptiles of the extinct order Pterosauria existed from the Late Triassic to the end of the Cretaceous (228 to 66 million years ago).
