Bowenite

Bowenite a stone of many names:- is a member of the Serpentine a family, which consists of 20 different varieties of crystals.  Deposit are found in Afghanistan, China, New Zealand, South Africa and the U.S.A, with a range of colours from dark green to light olive green- yellow.


Known as 

  • Bowenite the state mineral of the US date of Rhode Island.
  • Pounamu "greenstone” when sourced from New Zealand.
  • Tangawaite.
  • New Jade.
  • Nephrite Jade, which it was originally mistakenly identified as.


Bowenite is said to be a protective crystals by providing an energy shield around a person,  enabling one to move forward in life with business, new home, or when travelling.
