Andalusite - Chiastolite - Tumbled Stone

The mineral chiastolite is a variety of andalusite  with a distinctive cross-shaped black inclusions of graphite. 


Andalusite or Chiastolite is said to a powerful protective stone. In ancient times it was used to ward off ill wishing and curses.
It is believed to have the property of transmuting dissension into harmony. This is considered to be a creative stone with power to dispel negative thoughts and feelings. It may transmutes conflict into harmony and aids problem-solving and change.
Psychologically, Chiastolite may dissolve illusions and calm fears, enabling you to face reality, and is particularly helpful in overcoming the fear of going mad. Mentally, Chiastolite may aid problem-solving by strengthening analytic capabilities. Emotionally, Chiastolite may clear feelings of guilt and stabilises the emotions.

Tumble stones are so called because a number of stones of similar sizes are placed in a barrel which is rotated (tumbled) at a speed and after a time between 3 - 5 weeks the stones are polished from rough to smooth. 
(The Tumble stones we sell, have not been tumbled by ourselves)
