Found in the form of large blue masses, this gentle blue crystal is good for any use associated with our throat chakra such as our voice and communication. At a physical level it is of course good for our pharynx, helping in cases of throat infections and has been said to be of help to people suffering from ADHD. Like most calcites, this blue version is very calming spiritually.

Calcite is Calcium Carbonate and occurs in almost every environment worldwide. Occurring in many forms and shapes of crystals, and in many types of deposits, which can produce a vibrant range of colours including orange, green, blue, yellow - Golden, red and clear, black,  with most coloured calcites coming from Mexico.

The optically clear Calcite is called Iceland spar or Optical Calcite, this Calcite exhibits strong double refraction, which is when a ray of light enters the mineral, it is divided into two rays that diverge, ( giving you a double vision image )

All Calcites are helpful with emotional and mental conditions, assisting in lessening of fear and reducing stress. They can also be used to cleanse and clearing negativity in a environment, they are also a good grounding, centring, and balancing stone suitable for when reconciliation is needed with in a home or workplace.

With all the colours of calcites, they are good Chakra stones with clear calcite can be used for treating all Chakras and conditions.

Here at London Fossils Crystals I sell a wide range of Tumble Stones

Tumble stones are so called because a number of stones of similar sizes are placed in a barrel which is rotated (tumbled) at a speed and after a time between 3 - 5 weeks the stones are polished from rough to smooth.

(The Tumble stones we sell have not been tumbled by ourselves)
