Iolite - (Cordierite - Water Sapphire) 10g to 17g Tumble Stone (Selected)

A tumbled stone selected specially for your order, simply click & Collect or Royal Mail post 1st or 2nd class.  You can also visit London Fossils and Crystals retail shop in Waterloo, SE1,  to select yourself.


Each pieces varies in size  2.5 - 3cm, 

Weight also varies, approximately 10g to 17g

Iolite can sometimes be mistaken for a dark patchy Amethyst. 


It is a crystal which can help calm the over-active mind & fears, can also help one to see possible solutions to our unsolvable emotional problems


Cordierite, a silicate mineral found in metamorphic & igneous rocks.


Known as Iolite when found clear or transparent in the gem & Jewellery trade.  Older names for this mineral ‘Dichromate” and ‘Water Sapphire”

Tumble stones are so called because a number of stones of similar sizes are placed in a barrel which is rotated (tumbled) at a speed and after a time between 3 - 5 weeks the stones are polished from rough to smooth. 
(The Tumble stones we sell, have not been tumbled by ourselves)
