Manganoan Calcite - Manganoan Calcite or Mangano Calcite forms as masses with pink and white bands, as well as crystalline form. Some Mangano Calcite are fluorescent in U.V. light.


Pink crystals are wrongly labeled as feminine stones, this is purely because of its colour, and is a misjudged connection. Pink crystals are though associated with the heart chakra, and may help with calmness and bring a peace of mind.


  

Calcite is a very common and widespread mineral which comes in a variety of colours, such as White, Yellow, Red, Orange, Blue, Green, Brown, Grey.


It also occurs in a wide variety of forms, the molecular structure of the crystals is rhombohedral (cube like) but specimens can appear as as scalenohedrons (mirror image pyramid shape), prisms (triangle like), masses (consisting of or forming a large mass), stalactites (icicle like). 


Calcite makes up the major part of most marbles and limestones.
