Mariposite also known as  Chromphengite, Virginite.

Originally found in Mariposa Co., California, USA.

It is not an officially classified mineral, but is a chromium-rich Phengite, which is a high silica variety of Muscovite Mica.  It is the chromium that gives it its distinctive green colour, mixed with a white dolomitic marble.  It was named for Mariposa, California, where originally found but can be found in the Sierra Nevada mountains, Marblemount, USA to the North Cascades, and Newfoundland Canada.

Mica can aid in calming a persons anger or temper

Here at London Fossils Crystals I sell a wide range of Tumble Stones.  Tumble stones are so called because a number of stones of similar sizes are placed in a barrel which is rotated (tumbled) at a speed and after a time between 3 - 5 weeks the stones are polished from rough to smooth.
