Optical Calcite Hand Wired Pendant (REF:HWOC1)

Hand wired by us at London Fossils and Crystals this Optical Calcite is hand wired using a Copper plated wire. 

Calcite is a very common and widespread mineral which comes in a variety of colours, such as White, Yellow, Red, Orange, Blue, Green, Brown, Grey.

It also occurs in a wide variety of forms, the molecular structure of the crystals is rhombohedral (cube like) but specimens can appear as as scalenohedrons (mirror image pyramid shape), prisms (triangle like), masses (consisting of or forming a large mass), stalactites (icicle like). 

Calcite makes up the major part of most marbles and limestones.

Clear Calcite - Clear Calcite or Iceland Spar as it’s also refer to is a colourless, transparent variety of Calcite, which also know as Optical Calcite. It is most frequently a rhombohedral crystal, meaning it is a three dimensional figure like a cube, except that its faces are not squares but rhombi, which is an quadrilateral whose four sides all have the same length.

Clear Calcite, is said to be a very calming crystal and may help clear and bring a peace of mind.
