Polished Snowflake Obsidian (REF:OBSID3)

Obsidian is a volcanic glass that occurs in a variety of colours such as black, brown, green, red/black, brown/black, mahogany, black with rainbow patterns/colours, black and white know as snowflake obsidian.

The fragments of the rock are sharp and have been used as cutting implements.

The name snowflake comes from the white mineral inclusions of cristobalite, that form the little snowflake-like patterns.
