Quartz is the second most abundant mineral in the Earth’s continental crust, after feldspar.

It's made up of a continuous framework of silicon-oxygen tetrahedra, with each oxygen being shared between two tetrahedra, giving an overall formula SiO2

Quartz crystals are said to amplify both body energy and thoughts and may provide for clarity in thinking to enable thoughts to more effectively influence matter.

   
Hematite is an iron oxide mineral. It’s crystal system is hexagonal (trigonal). It’s name is derived from the Greek word for blood.

Emotionally Hematite is to help one see strength, courage and fortitude for moving through adversity. It is a powerful stone to use when one is seeking to integrate the shadow self. Physically Hematite is said to be an excellent for energetic support of recovery from any ailment of the blood and of blood production within bone marrow. It may can work as strengthener for the liver and may also assist in the detoxification process.

   

Hedenbergite, is the iron rich end member of the pyroxene group having a monoclinic crystal system. It was named in 1819 after M.A. Ludwig Hedenberg, who was the first to define hedenbergite as a mineral.
